What is a permit lead?
When a homeowner or contractor applies for a building permit, the application becomes a public record. It lists the address, what work is planned, and usually who is doing it. A permit lead is one of those records, sent to you while the job is still new. A re-roof permit tells a gutter installer where a roof is coming off. A new pool permit tells a fence company who will need a pool barrier.
Do I get permits for my own kind of job?
Mostly no. Another company's re-roof is a job a roofer already won, so it is no use to the next roofer. We send you the permits that come right before your work: re-roofs go to gutter, solar and dumpster companies, new pools go to fence, landscape and pool service companies, new homes go to almost everyone. The exceptions are permits that mean upcoming work for you, like new-home permits for builders and the subs who sell to them.
Which towns do you cover?
Nassau County, Florida: Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island (32034, 32035), Yulee (32097), Callahan (32011) and Hilliard (32046). Fernandina Beach is pulled from the city portal every morning. Unincorporated Nassau County and the towns of Callahan and Hilliard come from county records and public records requests, so they can run a few days behind. Duval and St. Johns counties are next.
How fresh are the leads?
Fernandina Beach permits are usually in your inbox the morning after they are filed. Your 7 AM email only includes permits we have not sent you before.
What does it cost?
$99 a month for one company. Pick as many trades and zip codes as you want. There is no contract and no setup fee.
Can I get a refund?
Cancel any time and you will not be billed again. 30-day money-back guarantee: if the leads don't pay off in your first 30 days, email us and we refund your $99, no questions asked.
Is it legal to use this information?
Yes. Building permits are public records under Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes. Anyone can ask the county or city for them. We collect them, match them to the trades they create work for, and send them to you. Follow the usual rules for contacting homeowners, including the Do Not Call list if you phone people.
What is in each lead?
Permit number, permit type, the description of work as filed, the job address and zip, the date filed, the contractor or licensed pro on the permit if one is listed, and the property owner's name and mailing address when the county property appraiser has it.
Why are the permits on this site samples?
Because the real list is what subscribers pay for. Every permit table on this site, and the sample email, is made up to show the layout. Counts like "permits filed in the last 30 days" are real. Subscribers get the actual records, with full addresses, owners and contractors, in the 7 AM email.
Can I change my trades or zip codes later?
Yes. Every email has a link to change your trades and zip codes. Changes apply to the next morning's email.
